Our story
Written in a low voice.
How a line of ink on a summer afternoon became a small house of phone cases, made for people who'd rather be noticed than heard.
sot·to vo·ce — in a low voice
It began with a simple thought: the things we carry every day deserve to be beautiful.
Your phone goes everywhere with you. It's on the table at a long lunch, in your hand on the walk home, and in the corner of every photograph you take all summer. Yet most cases shout: loud logos, glossy plastic, prints that look tired after a season.
We wanted the opposite. Something quiet, like a silk scarf or a well-worn notebook, that looks better the longer you live with it. So we put away the trends and started with a pen and a sheet of cream paper.
The name says it all. In music, sotto voce means to play softly, under the breath, so the room leans in to listen. That's how we like to design: a few words, one fluid line, and a palette you'd recognise anywhere.
01 — By hand
Every design starts as ink.
A note to someone we love, the curve of a coastline, a dachshund in a scarf. Each motif is drawn or written by hand first, with all its imperfections kept, because that's where the warmth comes from.
02 — Out in the world
Made for long summers.
From the beach club in August to the café terrace in October, our cases are designed to look right on warm stone, crisp linen and a table set for friends. Choose a slim Snap case or a protective Tough case. The design is the same either way.
03 — Restraint
Three colours, nothing more.
We keep our palette small on purpose, so every case works with the others and with everything you already own.
-
Cream
The page we write on, soft as linen in morning light.
-
Oxblood
The ink: the colour of a good red wine and a handwritten signature.
-
Chocolate
For autumn: espresso at the bar, a camel coat, the evenings drawing in.
From the notebook
Pages we're proud of.
sotto voce
Find the one that speaks to you, softly.
Every design is a small story. Choose yours, and carry it with you everywhere.
